A small selection of client projects, from lead-gen websites to internal systems and assessment portals. Each one built to solve a specific problem, not just ship features.

Perform Data Track

The Perform Data Track examination management platform

The Exam Platform I Built: Candidate Entry to Certificate, in One System

Organisations that award graded qualifications run a pipeline: candidates are entered, grouped into sittings, marked by examiners, moderated, certificated, and recorded for audit. Most of the smaller ones run that pipeline on PDF entry forms, spreadsheets and mail merge.

Perform Data Track is the system that replaces it. Multi-tenant by organisation, with schools and learners underneath; sessions and exam groups by level and genre; examiner marking; PDF certificates and feedback sheets; spreadsheet exports; role-based access. First commit February 2023, still maintained.

The university learning management system dashboard

How a University Department Replaced Four Spreadsheets and a Paper Register

A university department was delivering lectures through email attachments and shared drives, and tracking attendance on paper registers reconciled into four separate spreadsheets. It cost staff more than four hours a week and produced a record nobody could audit.

We built a Canvas-integrated learning platform used by around 200 students and staff: structured lessons, protected lecture video, and attendance captured by scan in the room. An assessment engine followed, with quiz authoring, marking, and grade passback into the Canvas gradebook.

How a Dance Awarding Body Cut Bounce Rate by 50% and Tripled Page Speed

Independent Dance Training is a UK dance examination awarding body. Their existing site was burying qualifications, syllabi, and exam resources behind confusing navigation, so teachers and students were leaving without finding what they needed.

We rebuilt the site around real user journeys: a teacher finding a syllabus, a student checking exam requirements, a new visitor exploring membership. Bounce rate dropped 50%. Pages now load three times faster.

The Developer's Desk

September 2024
The Developer's Desk AI-powered job search platform

Building a Developer Job Aggregator: 1,000+ Listings, Shipped in 8 Weeks (2024)

Developers spend disproportionate time checking LinkedIn, Indeed, Stack Overflow Jobs, and niche boards individually. Relevant roles get missed. It's slow and repetitive.

I built The Developer's Desk in 2024 to fix that for myself, then opened it to others. One aggregated feed. AI-matched search. Over 1,000 listings aggregated at launch. Built and shipped in eight weeks.
