No surprises. Just work.
A clear, four-step process from first call to launch. Fixed price, fixed scope, fixed timeline — so you can plan around it.
Discovery call
We talk through what you need, what you already have, and whether I’m the right fit. No pitch, no pressure — just an honest conversation. If it’s not a good match I’ll tell you.
Proposal & scope
I write a plain-English proposal: exactly what will be built, what won't, the fixed price, and the delivery date. You can ask questions, suggest changes, or walk away — no deposit yet.
Build
I build the whole thing. You get a staging link within the first week so you can see real progress. Feedback rounds are built into the timeline — not bolted on at the end.
Launch & handover
We go live. You get the code, the credentials, and a short walkthrough so you're never dependent on me to make basic updates. The remaining 50% is due on delivery.
Principles, not platitudes.
Fixed price. Always.
The quote you get is the price you pay. Scope creep doesn't happen because the scope is written down before a single line of code is written.
One project at a time.
I don't juggle ten clients. When I'm building your project, I'm building your project — not half-listening while I manage a team.
You own everything.
The code, the domain, the hosting account. If you ever want to move on, you can. No lock-in, no proprietary CMS, no gotchas.
No retainers by default.
I don't sell ongoing contracts to pad revenue. If you want a maintenance plan, we can discuss it — but it's optional, not a condition of working together.
Plain English.
Every proposal, every update, every invoice is written in plain language. If something is unclear, ask — I'd rather spend five minutes explaining than leave you guessing.
Honest timelines.
I don't quote two weeks to win the work and then disappear for a month. The timeline in the proposal is the timeline I'm committing to.
Common questions.
What if I need changes after launch?
Small tweaks in the first 30 days are included. Bigger changes — new features, new pages, a redesign — are scoped as a new project with a new fixed price.
Can I see work in progress before it's done?
Yes. You get a staging link within the first week. I'd rather you flag problems early than surprise you at launch.
What if I need to pause or cancel?
Life happens. If you need to pause, we pause — the work is there when you're ready. If you cancel mid-project, you pay for work completed to that point. The deposit covers the first phase.
Do you work with clients outside the UK?
Yes, though most of my clients are UK-based. I invoice in GBP. Time zone overlaps for calls are usually fine as long as you're in Europe or the Americas.
Can I supply my own copy and images?
Please do — it usually speeds things up. If you need help with copy or photography, I can recommend people I've worked with before.
How do you handle hosting?
I set everything up on your account so you're in control. The costs are minimal — often free tier for a small business site — and you own everything outright.
